Time to review relations, estates, wills, trusts, durable and medical powers of attorney

Throughout South Texas and down in to Mexico, we are celebrating Dia de los Muertos.  This is a time for remembering ancestors and other loved ones who have gone on before.  Following that, we Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, the time for family and giving thanks for all we have, large and small.  Then it’s on to Christmas.

This time, November and December, would also be a good time to review our relations, our property, estates, wills, trusts, durable and medical powers of attorney.  Getting this done now would help us wrap up at the end of the year, make any income tax related changes, and start the new year with our business in order.

I’ll have several items to share in regard to estate planning and documents.

First, take a look at the inventory posted by Huntington.  This “Checklist for Life” can be downloaded for free from this site: www.huntington.com/checklistforlife/
